Mario Cappello, President, CEO and member of the Board of Directors
Among his many achievements, Mr. Cappello has established schools for young people in Malta, Germany, Poland, New Zealand, Ghana, Singapore, India, the Philippines, and Indonesia. As founder of the Institute for World Evangelization and Millennium Films International, Mr. Cappello is a trusted figure within the Vatican. In 2004, Mr. Cappello was received as part of the Vatican “Order of Pontifical Grooms.” Dr. Riccardo Masetti, Senior Medical Director Dr. Masetti, the Senior Medical Director and Chair of the HopeXchange Medical Advisory Council, has an international reputation for clinical, academic, and research excellence. Dr. Masetti is the Associate Professor of Surgery and Director of the Breast Center and of the Surgical Breast Unit at the Catholic University of Rome, Italy. He received his degree as a M.D. and a surgical oncologist in Italy, and has completed numerous postgraduate training stages in top-ranking cancer centers in Europe and the United States.
Dr. Masetti is the founder of Komen Italia, the Italian Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, now one of the most active and successful breast cancer organizations in Italy, providing medically underserved communities in Italy with new opportunities for early detection and improved breast cancer care.
Among his academic activities, Dr. Masetti serves as the Director of the multi-annual "Educational Program in Breast Cancer in Italy," currently in its ninth year, which provides continuing medical education to more than 10,000 health care providers in Central and Southern Italy. He is also the Director of two CME programs in Oncology for Primary Care Physicians and Medical Students funded by the Italian Ministry for University. Ret. General Claude M. General Kicklighter served as the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Defense and Chief of Staff to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. General Kicklighter has served as Special Advisor to the Deputy Secretary of State for Stabilization and Security Operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2003, he was Director of the Department of Defense's Iraq Transition Team, which planned the inactivation of the Coalition Provisional Authority General Kicklighter is a recipient of the Presidential Citizen Medal, the Eisenhower Liberation Medal, the Decoration for Exceptional Civilian Service, and a two-time recipient of the Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service. Mr. Archer received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin, graduating as Valedictorian of the University. Mr. Cargill is a certified public accountant. He began his business career at Arthur Andersen & Co. following his graduation from Baylor University. He earned his master’s of business administration degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is active in the community, serving on the Advisory Boards of the University of Texas at Arlington Business School, the Chiapas Project, and Memnosyne Foundation. In addition he serves as Vice President of the UTA College of Business Administration Advisory Board and as a member of the World Affairs Council. Currently Ms. Jeffers is President and CEO of Jeffers and Associates, LLC, a strategic management consulting firm. Ms. Jeffers holds an MSW degree and is an adjunct criminal justice policy professor at her alma mater – Howard University School of Social Work. Mr. Halpern is the former General Counsel and Vice President of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, a nonprofit corporation with annual revenues in excess of $300 million. Mr. Halpern was responsible for all legal issues for Komen and its affiliates in more than 120 cities across the U.S. and three foreign countries. In addition, Mr.Halpern was responsible for Komen’s international operations, including establishing and developing an international affiliate network and expanding the Komen Race for the Cure® Series overseas.
Prior to joining Komen, Mr. Halpern was a partner with Strasburger & Price, L.L.P, a full service law firm with more than 175 attorneys in 8 offices. Among other professional distinctions, Mr. Halpern is a past Chairman of the International Law Section of the Steve Weinberg, member of the Board of Directors
Dr. Weinberg served as president of his Rotary Club and on the Board of Directors of his Chamber of Commerce. He was also on the board of the Cancer Society, his local YMCA, and the Longhorn Chapter of the Boy Scouts, and has been a medical professor in Dallas and Ft. Worth, Texas. Dr. Weinberg was elected to the Tarrant County Hospital District Board of Trustees and oversaw its entire system of hospitals. In 2001, President Bush requested that Dr. Weinberg join his administration and serve as the Associate Director of the Peace Corps. Paul G. Boitmann, member of the Board of Directors

General Kicklighter is the Director of the Critical Infrastructure Protection Program at George Mason University School of Law. General, Kicklighter has served his country for more than 50 years, first as an Army officer for 35 years, retiring as lieutenant general, followed by over 15 years as a distinguished public servant.
Mr. Rick Archer is a founding principal of Overland Partners, an award winning Texas based architecture firm. Mr. Archer has a wealth of experience in urban and environmental design, and interior architecture, as well as museum, commercial, educational and hospitality design. Among his many accomplishments, Mr. Archer served as principal in charge of the internationally acclaimed Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, Texas, the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Latin American Art, and numerous projects
Mr. Cargill serves as President, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Lending Officer of Texas Capital Bank, and has more than 30 years of diverse banking, finance, operating and accounting expertise. Immediately prior to forming Texas Capital Bank, Mr. Cargill served as president of Cargill Lakes, Inc., a privately-owned venture capital investment company and executive operating officer of Mack Financial Group, Inc., where he was instrumental in the acquisition and operation of a commercial finance division of a Fortune 500 company.
Mr. Bentz is a member of Boldt, Carlisle & Smith, LLC, a full service CPA firm with 3 offices in Oregon. Mr. Bentz is both a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant. A large part of his practice is devoted to agricultural and forestry clients. Mr.Bentz is the National Chairman of the American Tree Farm System and is a frequent speaker and author on estate planning and tax issues. Among other charitable and religious positions, Mr. Bentz is Chairman of the Archdiocesan Pastoral Council of the Archdiocese of Portland Oregon.
Ms. Janie L. Jeffers has served in a variety of public service positions including Deputy Commissioner, New York City Department of Correction; the National Institute of Corrections, Boulder Colorado; consultant to the World Health Organization, Geneva Switzerland; and the United States Justice Department, Washington DC. She worked for President Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton at the White House. President Clinton appointed her to a 6 year term as Commissioner to the United States Parole Commission.
Mr. Welch, as President of DeLeon Peanut Co., owned and operated an agricultural company that provided service for 40,000 + acres of peanuts for human consumption. Mr.Welch is a past member of the National Peanut Standards Board, appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture.
Mr. Halpern is a Dallas-based attorney with more than 20 years legal experience in domestic and international business transactions, tax, nonprofit and regulatory matters. Mr. Halpern received his J.D. (with honors) from the University of Texas and his B.A. (magna cum laude) from Duke University.
Dr. Steve Weinberg is one of Texas’ leading health care law experts due to his unique background as both an accomplished physician and attorney. He graduated from the University of Iowa’s Medical School, and over the next nineteen years he was recognized as one of the top ten surgeons in North Texas, chiefly in caring for acutely injured patients. He regularly flew his own plane to operate on people located outside the Ft. Worth area, dubbing him the “Flying Surgeon”. During this time, Dr. Weinberg established and managed several banks, pioneered a successful oil and gas exploration and production company, developed residential and commercial real estate, and was involved in ranching and cattle operations in Texas and Oklahoma. Dr. Weinberg also received his JD degree from Southern Methodist University College of Law.
Mr. Paul G. Boitmann, is the President, Sales Operations of Newell Rubbermaid. He joined Newell Rubbermaid in 2001. His experiences in sales, marketing, worldwide recruiting and training have prepared him for his current role as President of Sales Operations. Mr. Boitmann is credited with implementing operations and process disciplines, which have led to significant sales, profitability gains and significant synergies across the global organization. Prior to this, Mr. Boitman spent 18 years at the Black & Decker Corporation. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1982.
